What to expect: This casual Hawaii hotel draws vacationing families, celebrating couples, young singles, and some older guests who’ve been returning for years. The large, busy lobby is decorated with Hawaiian art, including a full-sized, century-old, koa-wood outrigger canoe, and royal standards made of feathers. Pacific crafts, toys, beachwear, and sundries are sold in shops on site, and the hotel has several beachfront restaurants.
This Waikiki beachfront hotel invites couples to Hoi Hou Ke Aloha, a ceremony to renew their wedding vows. This complimentary ceremony is held every Tuesday and Friday morning at 8 AM (schedule subject to change), on Waikiki Beach in front of the Outrigger Waikiki's partner hotel, the Outrigger Reef. Guests also can enjoy surfing lessons, outrigger canoe rides, catamaran cruises, and beachside massage under a thatched roof (surcharges). Guests with their own surfboards can ask for available space on the hotel’s beachside rack (surcharge).
